About the Artist
Kirsten Valerie is an Illustrator and a maker with a love for macabre history, natural science, and collecting weird rocks. She grew up in Silverton, Oregon, and spent her early days exploring her family’s farm in search of creepy crawlers and crawdads. Currently, she resides in Portland, Oregon.
She has a degree in Illustration from the Pacific Northwest College of Art. Her work explores all facets of our curious past and fascinating future, with a hybrid digital-analog style. She has a unique interest in print media and publishing. When she is not drawing, she can be found nabbing discarded furniture from the streets and refurbishing it in her living room.
